The music was called ragtime, and in late 19th and early 20th century America, it soared in popularity, leading to a dance craze in the country. By the late 1910s, the genre was evolving into what we know today as jazz.
One of the most well-known musicians in both was James Reese Europe. He would become a pivotal figure in American music history, with some referring to him as the "King of Jazz," while one musician said about James, "He was our benefactor and inspiration. Even more, he was the Martin Luther King of music.

After nearly 80,000 American and Filipino soldiers surrendered to the Japanese following the excruciating three-month Battle of Bataan, there were even greater horrors in store for them. The prisoners were forced to march more than 60 miles through the tropical heat of the Philippines with almost no water and just one bowl of rice for the entire week. And those who survived the marching were treated to worse brutality by their captors. The luckier victims were shot to death, while others were disemboweled, emasculated, decapitated, or even crucified. In the end, as many as 18,000 prisoners were dead within the span of just ten days.

Things such as "Should I start crossing the street exactly now?" Or "should I touch this glowing object?" I wouldn't tell anyone to think otherwise- but when it comes down to things we all know should be thought out in proper, most people do tend to still fall into knee-jerk reactions. This isn't anything new for us as humans. The foundations of many ancient esoteric practices are at least in part designed to combat these sorts of reactions. With its 662 meters deep, 626 meters long and 537 meters wide, it is one of the most impressive natural attractions on Earth. In addition to a great variety of fauna and flora, it is home to an underground river that measures a total of 8.5 km that ends in a spectacular waterfall. Isoko Kingdom Isoko people are an ethnolinguistic group who inhabit the Isoko region of Delta State and Bayelsa State, Nigeria. They are people of southern Nigeria, near the northwestern Niger delta. Isoko ancestors migrated from Benin Kingdom in about 1600 AD at the same time as the ancestors of Aboh. The ancestors in the first group were Erowa (the senior) Uzere, and Okpe. Isoko oral history told that the second group led by ancestors of Iyede left Benin about 1650- 1700 AD during the reign of Oba Ozolua, the Oba of Benin. After, a short while the ancestors of Ughelli, Ogor and Agbarha- Otor (3 brothers) in Ughelli North Local Government area followed the trail of Iyede ancestors and settled in their present sites. Clay Beauford (born Welford Chapman Bridwell; September 27, 1846 – February 1, 1905) was an American army officer , scout and frontiersman. An ex-Confederate soldier in his youth, he later enlisted in the U.S. Army and served with the 5th U.S. Cavalry during the Indian Wars against the Plains Indians from 1869 to 1873. He acted as a guide for Lieutenant Colonel George Crook in his "winter campaign" against the Apaches and received the Medal of Honor for his conduct. From 1874 to 1877, Beauford served under Indian agent John Clum as chief of scouts and captain of the San Carlos Apache Police. He and Clum are credited for the capture of Geronimo at Ojo Caliente in 1877 and he is largely responsible for turning the San Carlos police into one of the most respected law enforcement agencies in the Southwestern United States during the frontier era.
