Did you know which is the most ancient country in this world?


Japan. The imperial line of succession from the current Japanese emperor goes all the way back to Emperor,Jimmu,circa 660BC. That’s almost 2700 years under the same royal family.
The imperial dynasty’s power waxed and waned during that period, actual governing clans came and went. But it was nonetheless the same priest-king dynasty laying claim over roughly the same lands - mostly the main island of Honshu, with the other home islands added and subtracted with the varying fortunes of the Japanese government.
Being an island nation, relatively farther away from the continental mainland than England, made invasion more difficult and easier for the Japanese to maintain their independence and identity as the same island nation and people for millennia.

"The last American slave ship docked illegally in Mobile, Alabama in 1860, carrying about 160 West African captives. Among them was Cudjo Lewis, who recognized how his birth culture might be erased while toiling in this new land. So when he was freed, he purchased two acres and started a self-sufficient community of survivors of the last slave ship. Known to outsiders as Africatown, Lewis' neighborhood was modeled on his West African home, where extended families lived together, members conversed in their regional languages, and partook in traditions that might otherwise be lost to them in America. The worst rail disaster in Britain took place at Quintinshill (Gretna Green) in Scotland, killing 227 people and injuring 246.   The chain of disaster started when a troop train collided with the stationary commuter train which had been stopped to allow the a delayed Sleeper Service a chance to make up the time lost. This commuter train had been moved from Northbound line to the Southbound mainline rather than into the actual passing loops, these where occupied by two freight trains.  The commuter train was now directly in the path of a troop train carrying 500 men of the 1/7th Leith Battalion of the Royal Scots on route for Gallipoli. All troop trains have clear line status, something that is still enforced today should the need arise. This also means that it’s travelling at full speed and smashed head on into the commuter train.  Just a minute later the Sleeper Service from Euston to Glasgow collided with the wreckage of the troop and commuter train....

It took them a decade to find out why they originated and why they suddenly appeared and disappeared until they finally managed to discover it. The author of these amazing formations, almost 2 meters wide, was a newly discovered species of puffer fish measuring no more than 12 centimeters. Subsequent studies determined that they were ornate circles to attract mating partners. Males spend six weeks building these "crop circles" underwater just to mate for a few seconds. To make them, he gathers fine sand in mounds and decorates them with seashells he finds. If he is lucky, the willing female will stand in the center of the circle to indicate approval for mating. This floating island, known as the "Forty Acre Bog," is composed of peat, plant roots, mud, and even mature trees. These trees act as sails, catching the wind and moving the island around the lake. When the bog drifts and blocks a crucial bridge connecting the east and west sides of the lake, it requires a community effort to push it back into position using their boats. The floating bogs formed over time as peat bogs from the lake's swampy bottom rose to the surface, creating a habitat rich in biodiversity.
