PASTEL NURSERY RHYMES!!

Some nursery rhymes have a dark history which makes them perfect for this group!

I chose:

"Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary"

- Some interpretations suggest that this rhyme may be about Mary I of England, known as "Bloody Mary," and her persecution of Protestants. The "silver bells and cockle shells" are believed by some to refer to instruments of torture.
