The Nemi ships were two ships, one larger than the other, claimed to be built and destroyed under the reign of the Roman Emperor "Caligula" in the 1st century AD at Lake Nemi, but they're said to have sailed a lot longer.  The two ships was Lost under Lake Nemi in the 1st C AD and said to have sailed for nearly 2000 years, the Nemi ship's rediscovery from the lake bed in 1929 made historians question what the Romans were capable of, The historians viewing Emperor Caligula's Nemi ships said they were elaborate floating palaces containing marble, mosaic floors, heating, and plumbing, gilded rooms, and even rotating dining rooms. Lake Nemi itself is a land locked body of water, 19 miles South of Rome and only covered a tiny 0.6 square miles and both the ships had banks of oars that were 36 feet long, both ships was 76 feet wide and 240 feet long.
